Some car freshies can soften, deform, become oily, or otherwise change when exposed to extreme heat. Vehicle interiors can get far hotter than the outdoor temperature when parked in direct sunlight, so heat tolerance matters.

Use the freshie only as directed and keep it from resting directly on interior surfaces. If a freshie looks unusually soft, wet, distorted, or damaged, handle it carefully and follow the seller's guidance. Do not assume every freshie material behaves the same way; formulas and manufacturing methods differ. Proper hanging and placement are especially important during hot weather.

A product being made for a car does not mean it tolerates unlimited heat. Follow any temperature or placement limits supplied by its maker, and check it during hot weather for changes in shape, texture, or surface oil.

If it appears damaged, do not press it against a surface or try to reshape it while warm. Let it cool before handling and contact the seller about the appropriate next step. Heating it further to 'fix' the shape or strengthen the scent can make the problem worse. Different formulas need different handling, so a tip that worked for someone else's freshie may not suit yours.
